INITIATIVE FOR PERSONS IN DISTRESS (IPD, for short) is a nascent organization registered under Indian Trust Act, 1862 that has emerged as the fallout of coming together of few concerned residents of Baranagar representing various walks of life with the quest to work towards economic and social upliftment of the persons who over the years have been ostracized by the privileged. Our goal is to supplement the efforts taken by our Governments through their various projects and also to bridge the inherent gaps in the system.
We have embraced meaningful initiatives that promote education and encourage young students for studies as we believe education can improve individual and society.
